Manchester United's Dutch coach Louis van Gaal is hoping to still deal with the Red Devils over Christmas after rumors he would be fired before the away match against Stoke City Boxing Day. Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola and former Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho is said to be the strongest candidate replacement for Van Gaal.
Van Gaal is in great danger at the half-way the contract is three years old after six games without a win makes Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League and the bounce of the Premier League's top four.
After being defeated 1-2 by the weaker teams Norwich City last Saturday, Van Gaal was mentioned only have two more games which will determine his future at Manchester United.
If defeated Stoke next Saturday or by Chelsea at Old Trafford on Monday, was enough for the Glazer family to dump Van Gaal.
However, in Twitter growing rumor that Van Gaal would not last long. Reports emerged that United's deputy chief executive Ed Woodward has flown to London for an official meeting of the club.
But the Manchester Evening News reported that Woodward only discuss the commercial, not the future of Van Gaal.
Van Gaal called facing a deadline after the match against Stoke. Therefore, he is required to win the match against Stoke in order to save his fate.
Chelsea's Jose Mourinho, who was sacked last week already signaled its readiness menukangi Old Trafford if Van Gaal kicked. But Mourinho's agent stating there is no agreement with United regarding this matter.
"We do not know what will happen later, but at this time there is no agreement. Nor is there any formal proposal, it is not true," said Mourinho's agent.
Pep Guardiola also entered the list of target United after the Spanish coach said he would leave Bayern Munich this season.
United could temporarily appoint assistant to Van Gaal, Ryan Giggs, as an interim coach, who ever he held following the sacking David Moyes in 2014. That was done pending the willingness of Guardiola.
Reportedly, Van Gaal did not get support from the senior players, although publicly they support the former Barcelona boss was, according to AFP.
