Veteran MotoGP rider, Valentino Rossi, said he wanted to extend his contract with Movistar Yamaha after the 2016 season, however, The Doctor has a requirement to survive in Yamaha.
Rossi's Yamaha contract ends this season. A number of rumors about the future of 36-year-old rider also appear. Besides rumored to be retiring, Rossi also claimed will leave Yamaha and anchored in Suzuki.
Speaking to BT Sport, Rossi said he did not plan to retire any time soon.
"In my mind, I want to keep doing it. Extend the contract and stick with Yamaha until the end of my career," said Rossi.
However, Rossi does not want to extend the contract with Yamaha origin. Former Honda and Ducati rider said just wanted to extend the contract if competitive appearances throughout the 2016 season.
"My future will largely depend on the MotoGP this season, since the first race. If I can be competitive, and can fight for the podium every weekend, I will go," said Rossi.
MotoGP 2016 will be the 15th consecutive season for Rossi in the event the primary class of the Grand Prix. Last season, defeated teammate Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo in the race for the MotoGP world title in 2015.
