This is possible thanks to the cooperation between Twitter this week with a group of supporters of political transparency and governance, the Sunlight Foundation and the Open State Foundation, to revive the Politwoops web sites.

"Politwoops is an important tool for monitoring public officials us, including candidates and public officials elected or appointed, is responsible for the statements they make, and we are pleased that we have been able to reach an agreement with Twitter to bring it back online in both the US and internationally, "Jenn said Topper, communications director for the Sunlight Foundation.

Politwoops have become popular social media for political junkies who want to monitor chirp politicians and public officials. This web site was closed in 2015 because of Twitter stops providing access to the Sunlight Foundation as a developer tool to republish chirp on Twitter.

At that time, Twitter said republish tweets have been removed in violation of the rules and violating the privacy of its users.

The Sunlight Foundation from the USA and the Open State Foundation of the Netherlands, making an open letter to Twitter in September, calling that a citizen has the right to expression of political figures as well as supporting transparency.

Twitter did not give many statements in this deal, but the founder and CEO of Twitter Jack Dorsey, last October saying, "We have a responsibility to continue to empower organizations to bring more transparency of public dialogue, as Politwoops." (ADT)
