Indonesia is celebrating the phenomenon of a total solar eclipse (TSE), which occurred in 12 provinces in Indonesia such as in South Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. Utilizing this case, PT Pos Indonesia issued a special edition stamp series TSE in different cities, one in Surabaya.

Head of Branch Office of PT Pos Indonesia Surabaya Kebonrojo Hidayat said there are three types of packages that are ready stamps sold freely to the public. The first is a set of stamps which contains 24 pieces, the second gift set that contains 3 pieces of stamps, three stamps SHP (First Day Cover).

"In terms of price we offer to the public is very economical, only spend a nominal amount of USD 100 thousand, visitors can get three types of limited edition stamps," said Hidayat in Surabaya, as reported by Antara, Wednesday (9/3).

He added that by the package, PT Pos Indonesia managed to sell 100 packages TSE stamps this edition. This indicates the enthusiasm of Surabaya will be a rare phenomenon.

PT. Pos Indonesia itself just scored a number of 300 thousand shares nationally, and only 250 sheets circulated in the city of Surabaya. Uniquely, these stamps are made with images as moving and bring light through the Android mobile phone applications.

Even in low light or dark conditions, these special stamps can still bring light material made of a mixture of phosphorus. "The movement of light on these stamps the exact movements of the solar eclipse," said Hidayat.

For the collector, he continued, it became a great time to add to the collection given TSE phenomenon does not occur every year.

"Special mention is not necessarily the stamp designs produced solar eclipse back again, as well as the duration of an event that is quite a long eclipse, which is 33 years, this adds to the exclusivity of these stamps," he concluded.
