Biohacker human body modification is the attempt to use technology to be more excellent, one of which is part of the skin. In this sector, the Japanese scientists one step ahead in another appeal.
Scientists from the University of Tokyo Takao Someya and his team have successfully developed an artificial skin that can function as the LED screen. Electronic skin is made of a layer of non-organic named Silicon Oxynitrit and organic layers named Parylene. The result shows that the artificial skin 13 times thinner than a strand of hair.
The combined organic and non-organic to make an electronic skin can be worn for a few days hold for now. The consumption of electrical energy to an electronic skin is also claimed six times lower than other super thin LED screen.
The team hopes the future they can extend the life of the electronic skin and make it more complex to be able to show a lot of important data of the body. Some examples are the heartbeat and oxygen levels in the blood.
