Many have questioned the move when it acquired Oculus Mark Zuckerberg in 2014 and $ 2 billion. Now, Zuck also admitted that money spent in the acquisition of Facebook was great too.
'Regret' was expressed in an interview with Sam Altman, President of Y Combinator. In the interview he claimed the money of USD 2 billion is too large, and if he could build a platform virtual reality (VR) itself, then the money spent will not be up for it.
"We bought the team Oculus with a lot of money. I look at it like, if we work better in studying the ability to make it (VR-red) internally, we might not have to do it (a lot of money), "said Zuck.
Even so, Zuck claimed investments in the VR technology is feasible. So he said to buy the company's most advanced in the VR technology is a better step than to develop it themselves.
"Oculus team to date is the most expert in working on that issue (VR), so this is a big step makes the most sense," he added, as quoted by Business Insider on Thursday (18/08/2016).
So the outline, Zuck instead consider buying Oculus it is a mistake; it is a very expensive solution to fulfill his desire to enter the world of VR.
