Until last Friday, Facebook also hired a team to curate and organize sexy Trending Topic on Facebook. The team so it sounds like the editorial team. Not only that, Facebook is also making editorial assessment regarding the type of violence as what can be shown on the video Facebook.
For example, when Diamond Reynolds asked Facebook Live, which livestreaming when he shot and killed his girlfriend Philando Castile. When that Facebook remove the video, but aired back an hour later.

Because of changes to News Feed and Facebook reluctance considered a media company, there are a lot of chaos. For example dismiss the editorial staff who work behind Trending Topic. In fact, the error in the Trending Topic on Facebook makes Fox News anchorwoman Megyn Kelly dismissed.
Therefore, Trending Topic run unattended editor so no one would check whether the scattered information was true or not.
Then, an attempt to fix it is to delete Facebook Trending Topic. This is certainly not a major disruption for users who have read it. Therefore, Facebook does not regard itself as a media company.
