Stroke is a disruption of blood supply to the brain that occurs due to blockage or rupture of vessels. As many as 70-80 percent of stroke cases are caused by blockages that block the flow of blood to the brain.

Patients with high blood pressure should control, consume drugs according to prescription, and apply a healthy lifestyle. These efforts can prevent a stroke that risks causing disability to death.
4. Not necessarily disabled
Stroke attacks do not necessarily cause disability, even in some cases can heal. According to Dr. Musyid in general, 1/3 stroke patients can recover without disability, the other 1/3 recover with disability, and the rest are untreated such as death.
"Healing and prevention of disability in stroke patients depends on the speed and accuracy of treatment. Originally in the golden period of 4.5 hours since the first attack to be able to handle, then the chances of recovering are still large," said Musyid.
5. Recognize a stroke
Stroke attacks can be identified by FAST, namely the occurrence of face dropping, arm weakness, speech difficulties, and time to immediately call for help.
