US Secretary of State John Kerry will meet Saudi Foreign Minister in London

Jakarta - Minister of Foreign Affairs (Foreign Minister) United States Secretary of State John Kerry will meet Saudi Arabia Adel al-Jubeir in London on Thursday (14/1) is. Both will discuss conflict resolution Arabia and Iran.

"They will discuss a range of issues, issues of bilateral and global, including obviously the issue of Iran and the ongoing crisis in Syria," said a spokesman for Secretary of State Mark Toner in the middle of a trip to London, as reported by AFP on Thursday (14/1 / 2016).

Diplomatic relations between Washington and Riyadh are so close in decades back. It's just the last few months of tensions following the US-Iran diplomatic increasingly close. Where Arabia see Iran as a dangerous enemy.

Kerry now spend more time to communicate with the Iranian foreign minister of Iran with Adel al-Jubeir. As close as any relationship with Iran, State Department still strive to maintain good relations with the Saudis.

The US remains critical of what they call a destabilizing role (actions that cause unstable) Iran in the region, illegal ballistic missile program and sponsorship of extremist groups in Iran.

London is expected to be an opportunity to convince Kerry Jubeir that the US remains committed to their alliance. As well as to prepare the way for peace talks Syria end of January.

Saudi Arabia has stated previously taken a role in peace efforts in Syria. Arabia also will send a joint negotiating team to Geneva, Switzerland, on 25 January.(rna / rjo)
