Google Android 7.1 Pixel uses Nougat Special Edition

Along with the launch Pixel and Pixel XL, Google also released the Android 7.1 Nougat, which has richer features than Android 7.0, released early 2016.

In addition, there are also features that are only available for Pixel and Pixel XL. That brand-new launcher, Google Assistant, a 24-hour customer service support, and services Google Photo free. There is also a display of different themes, unique icons and dynamic calendar views.

Meanwhile, for Android 7.1 Nougat 'public version' will get options Night Light, which is similar to the iPhone's Night Shift features, improved touch screen system, VR Daydream support, gesture to the fingerprint scanner, and a number of improvements to support the developers.

Google did not mention when the OS will be available for non Pixel devices, but Pixel and Pixel XL itself will be available starting this October in a number of selected countries, as quoted by The Verge, Wednesday (10/05/2016).

Pixel has a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display and Pixel XL 5.5 inch 1440p, with a battery capacity of 2,770 mAh and 3,450 mAh. Both phones are made of aluminum body and the rear half of coated glass.
