Highest dam in America Threatened Destroyed

Hundreds of thousands of residents in the area around the dam Oroville, California, asked to evacuate as rising water discharge. The dam was breached after jetted threatened to overflow uncontrollably.
Reported by Reuters, which resist the flow of the dam at Lake Oroville no longer able to hold back the water. Water continues to overflow into neighborhoods that are close to the highest dam in the United States.

There are at least 130 thousand people were asked to evacuate, in order to prevent loss of life if the dam finally burst. California Department of Water Resources has warned on Monday (13/2), estimated that the dam could be broken in a matter of hours.

Lake Oroville water to overflow after storms with high rainfall eliminate drought in California over the last four years. On Friday last week, the water reached a height of 2 meters above the dam.

Since last Thursday, officials began releasing water discharge from the dam periodically. Some of the 230 meter-high concrete dam was built between 1962 and 1968 it turned out to have been broken as a result of the swift washed away.

Officers previously had to patch up loopholes that were breached by a boulder dropped by helicopter.
